Ferrous Sulfate Drops with Cherry Flavor, Pack of 1 with Graduated Dropper

• General Description (Mechanism of Action): Iron supplements are used to treat or prevent iron deficiency. Iron is an important mineral that the body needs to produce red blood cells and maintain health. Iron is normally found in breast milk and formula milk is also fortified with iron, so as long as the child is fed only with milk (4-6 months), there is no need to receive iron separately. • Indications: Prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia

• General dosage and method of use: In children 6 months to 2 years, 1 ml daily between two meals and in children over 2 years of age, as directed by a doctor, in order to prevent darkening of the teeth, pour the medicine on the tip of the tongue and then give the child some water or fruit juice to drink. Use the graduated dropper in the box to adjust the dose. Shake the product well before use.

• Contraindications: If you have any allergies to the product, consult your doctor or pharmacist before use.

• Precautions: Avoid taking more than the recommended amount of this product, stomach ulcers, enteritis or ulcerative colitis, patients who receive blood frequently, avoid administering to premature infants until vitamin E reserves are replenished.

• Drug interactions: Be sure to inform your doctor if you are using other drugs or supplements at the same time. Antacids, bisphosphonates, cefdinir, deferiprone, dimercaprol, eltrombopag, H2 blockers, levodopa, levothyroxine, methyldopa, pancrelipase, penicillamine, phosphate supplements, proton pump inhibitors, quinolone antibiotics, tetracycline antibiotics, trientine.

• Side effects: Constipation, dark stools, diarrhea, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, urine discoloration. Digestive side effects are usually temporary and the body adapts to the supplement and the symptoms disappear. If any of these side effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately.

• Overdose (poisoning): In case of severe side effects or if you take more than the recommended dose, stop taking the drug and seek medical attention immediately.

• Storage conditions: Store the product away from light, moisture and at a temperature below 30 degrees Celsius. After opening the container and placing the dropper on it, the product can be used for up to one month.
